Best tire on the market
I recently purchased a set of Hoosier tires ( mx25 soft terrain tires) I currently have been running a Dunlop 3s front and a 33 rear for I believe this is the best combination of Dunlop tires. I rode Thunder Valley on a dry slick day with wood chips all over the track and Two Rivers Racing on a day that the track was wet all day and had good ruts and traction. The first day at Thunder valley I was extremely surprised with the front end feel that the Hoosier tire had, it seemed very planted to the ground and I wasn’t worried of the front washing out going into the turns. The braking power that the tire had under lean angle was unlike any tire I have ever ridden with. The front tire gave me extreme confidence going into slick corners and felt that I could point and shoot very well with this tire. I am definitely more of a front end steering rider and find myself more on the front end of the bike and sometimes with that I get a little rear end slide coming out of the corners and with the rear Hoosier I noticed a little more stability and stick to the track. On the second day the track had more breaking and acceleration bumps coming out of ruts I noticed the tires added a little more comfort in these bumps. I ran both the front and the rear at 13.8psi and will continue to run these tires and play with the air pressure to see if I can get even more comfort out of these already great tires.
