      HOTD-R Tires

      I've been running HOTD-R tires since I bought my vintage race car in 2021. They stick like glue after just a couple laps and seem to be very predictable right up to the edge. My car is under 1600 lbs so I get good service life from my tires and brakes. I can typically run them 15 -20 heat cycles before lap times start to really increase. They are expensive - but seem to be very good race tires, even in damp conditions. If they were $50 cheaper a tire I'd give them a 5 star rating!

      I love these tires on my car. I have had 2 race weekends and a new personal best lap time each weekend. Significantly better grip than the Street TD S, I can feel the difference going through Turn 9 at Willow Springs. The only downside is the wear. After 2 weekends, the front tires are trash, the rears will be good for practice tires. You'll be happy with your lap times, but be ready to buy a new set frequently.
